Assigning Classifications to Content

WordPress uses "tags" to represent different classifications for content.  Classification fields usually appear in a right column on the edit form.  NOTE:  custom built sites may have rules that filter content based on the classifications assigned.  Refer to any custom content types for specific instructions about required classifications.

Some classifications may be from a pre-defined list, while others allow for a free-form entry field (as shown below).

Pre-defined list of classifications (usually shown with checkboxes)

Freeform list of classifications (will autosuggest on text match)
